Timothy/Orchard Grass hay is one of our most common mixtures that our clients prefer. The hay in our round bales is similar to our 2 string bales. It is a soft green hay with excellent palatability and higher protein. In comparison to straight timothy it is much softer in its nature. It is a great choice for farms that are feeding a variety of animals. It’s most commonly used for feeding older horses, fussy eaters, foals or sheep and goats. An excellent choice wherever a softer high protein hay is needed. This hay is grown by us locally in CT and also comes from other professional growers in the northeast. The bales are usually 4’x5′ in diameter and average 650LBS.
